Between - Art Series

Since 2014, a series of works has emerged that are characterized by layering, prints on textiles and 3D elements. The works play with spaces in between and offer an interaction between visible and hidden layers. Each work starts with a photographic, staged image, made in my studio in Delft. Historical connotations are an important source of inspiration, with stories and references from the past subtly interwoven. Playing with the tension between vulnerability and strength, appears to be a recurring theme. The series of works is entitled 'Between'.
